I guess I can see both points of view on the dollar bill thing. It does feel special to find money that isn't yours, and you want to do something special with it, but at the same time... well, if I found twenty dollars on the ground right now, I would go buy groceries, because I don't have much left to spend. Maybe that one dollar will be the difference for Kyle between having long hair and short hair, and that might affect the way people think about him, including an employer or someone who wants to give him an award. I don't know why people would just be handing out awards, but you know. Maybe the haircut <I>is</I> a special purpose. By chance. Then again, maybe it's not.
