I have a problem with the man.<BR/><BR/>I love our constitution, and I'm glad that it offers the nation a chance to choose its leader. Just because I think we chose poorly doesn't mean I'm unpatriotic. The system works, and our foundation is solid. I will proudly support whoever America chooses to be our president as my nation's leader. I will say though that if I went to school with him, we probably wouldn't be friends. And that's okay. I'm not unpatriotic for saying such, just a human with personal likes and dislikes.<BR/><BR/>Chris, great post, I agree wholeheartedly that we ought to stand together as Americans and support our new President. Obama's the prez now, and I think I can live with that. Truth is, either guy would have been a great leader... otherwise, they wouldn't have gotten as far as they did. I hope he does lots of great stuff for us like he promises. I'm okay with how it turned out.<BR/><BR/>As for the electoral college thing... it's weird, to me. Just going by popular vote would be all messed up too, since it's always a 1% difference (at least that's how it seems to be), but it's like... the electoral college makes each state a win or lose, all-or-nothing situation, whether 90% of that state voted democrat or 51% of that state voted democrat. I guess the system we have works well enough, but some part of me thinks there must be a better/more fair way of doing it. We just don't know what it is yet. But what do I know.
