Perseid

New title. I always worry that I'm reusing ones that I've used before. I'm confident I've never used this one before.

And suddenly a fear creeps in. A fear that I have in fact used this one before. I know it sounds ridiculous, but what if I have? I've got what, 250 other posts to compete with, plus a scattered 50 or so more.

Hmm. That's not the point though. No, not the point at all.

The Perseid Meteor Shower is going on right now. As I drove tonight I thought that I had seen more shooting stars this past week than I have pretty much any other time.

Ends up I'm not crazy. It's a meteor shower, and it peaks Sunday night, all night long.

So I'm gonna be somewhere, watching. Not sure where yet, but it won't be the city. If I'm alone, great. If I'm not alone, even better.

But still, c'mon. I've missed it 16 years in a row. I didn't even really know that it was going on. To be honest, it will be here next year, and the year after that, and the year after that. Chances are it'll be here every year in august for the next really really really long time.

But something amazing's gonna be going on in the sky Sunday night, and I'm not going to miss it.

Just thought I'd let you all know. Hmm.

It's a good show; I've been an active Perseid fan for a few years now. 8-)

Mars will also be really big on the 27th. The biggest it's been in a really really really long time, I hear. Definitely worth seeing, either way. :-D

... And I rock the blog titles. Not one repeat title, except for the verse of the week. I'd say "woot," but I somehow feel like I'd be the only one celebrating. ;-)

Being in Capital Nowhere definitely had advantages. Totally saw it!
